Your Data

What we keep, who sees it, and how to download or delete it. Updated October 25, 2026.

In the Game

Playing without an account

Your settings, saved games, the scenarios and Brains you make, achievements and progress are kept in your browser on this device. They don't reach us. To remove them, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.

If you play an item from the Community as a guest, we count the play once a day using a scrambled code made from your IP address, not the address itself, and delete it after 30 days. If you join an online game as a guest, your guest name is shown to the other players and kept in their match history, and what you say in the game's chat is kept in its replay.

When you sign in, the progress you made as a guest on this device joins your account. So does an online game you played as a guest in the last 24 hours: the server sends that device a one-time code for it, keeps only a scrambled copy of the code, and forgets it after 24 hours.

While the Game is in closed beta, you can ask for an invite on the beta page. We keep the name, email address (optional) and message you send only to answer you, then delete them 14 days after we answer, and after 90 days at most. They aren't linked to any account.

With or without an account: when the Game hits an error, it sends a technical report (the error message, where in the Game it happened, and the browser type) without your name or account. It is used only to fix bugs and kept up to 90 days.

More than one account on one device: the progress on a device (scenarios, Brains, achievements, career) belongs to one account at a time. If you sign in to a different account there, the device switches to that account's progress; nothing of the first account is copied into it. The first account keeps its progress in its own account, and anything of it that hadn't synced yet is kept on the device and synced the next time you sign in to that account there.

Downloading your data

The download is a single JSON file (readable in any text editor, and by other programs) with your account details, profile, cloud progress, friends, match history, ratings, Community items with their content (a very large one is listed without it: open it from the Community page), comments, bookmarks, reports you filed, support tickets and replies (screenshots are listed by type and size; open the ticket in the Game to see them), supporter status, moderation actions on your account, your inbox and your Daily Map wins. For your security it leaves out your password hash, sign-in tokens and two-step secrets; it says whether two-step sign-in is on.

Deleting your account

You'll be asked for your password (and a two-step code if it's on). Deletion can't be undone.
